PVC-U Profiles

Homerit Premium Series PVC-U profiles are sourced from VEKA Shanghai, part of VEKA , a family owned German company with more than 50 years of experience producing PVC-U window and door systems. The windows shown here were installed in Pakuranga, Auckland in 2005, and still look virtually brand new today.

uPVC Doors & Windows Hardware

Homerit PVC-U windows and doors use multi-point locking hardware wherever possible for improved security and performance. Our Premium Series is fitted with Siegenia hardware from Germany, tested to EN1670 Grade 4 for very high corrosion resistance — ideal for New Zealand conditions.

Advanced Manufacturing

Our high-tech automated manufacturing systems enhance both production efficiency and product quality. We welcome you to join one of our factory tours to see these systems in action.

Flexibility

Design Flexibility

Homerit offers a wide range of design options. Alongside conventional New Zealand window and door styles, we also supply tilt & turn and tilt & slide systems popular throughout Europe. We can also provide sliding and stacker doors with outward opening windows integrated into the fixed panels — a feature common in aluminium systems but rarely available in uPVC.

Installation Flexibility

Choose between conventional installation or recessed installation.

Our recessed installation system has been tested to AS/NZS 4284, achieving an Extra High wind zone rating and receiving BRANZ appraisal.

Colour Flexibility

While uPVC was once only available in white, modern technology allows for laminated coloured foils such as Golden Oak. Homerit also offers full colour Dark Grey frames, co-extruded with an Acryl Colour coating on the exterior surfaces for long lasting durability.

H1 Compliance Flexibility

Homerit uPVC windows provide significantly higher thermal insulation than thermal broken aluminium. With Ug1.1 LowE double glazing, Homerit R0.74 windows deliver 50% better insulation than thermal broken aluminium, giving designers more freedom with roof, wall, and floor performance.

Sustainability

Energy Efficient

PVC-U is far more energy efficient than aluminium — aluminium’s thermal conductivity is 205W/M²K, while PVC’s is only 0.19W/M²K, making PVC-U a more sustainable choice for window and door frames.

PVC U windows are used in 80% of the world and have been trusted for more than 50 years.

Low Embodied Energy

A typical thermal broken aluminium awning window frame (1.23m × 1.48m) has an embodied energy of 1392.30 MJ, compared with 669.49 MJ for a Homerit uPVC frame — about half the energy consumption.

Recycling

uPVC window frames are fully recyclable. Homerit sends all frame offcuts to Marly, where they are repurposed into uPVC plumbing products.

Affordability

Competitive Price

Our investment in high-tech production lines allows us to reduce costs while improving quality. In a 6 Homestar Kāinga Ora project in Te Atatū, Homerit uPVC windows with Low E4 double glazing achieved an R value of 0.74 — at an affordable price point.

Efficient Installation

Homerit offers installation methods tailored to different project needs. Costs are reduced through factory pre-cut flashings and pre-fitted timber jambs for both conventional and recessed installations. Many imported or locally made windows lack flanges, jambliners, or flashing systems designed for easy installation — often leading to extra labour, additional materials, and project delays. Homerit avoids these issues by design.
