Conventional Installation

Homerit uPVC windows and doors can be made with flanges and timber jambliners, making them ideal for conventional installation — a method architects and builders across New Zealand know well.

This residential home was installed using the conventional approach, delivering a clean, dependable finish that blends seamlessly with standard building practices.

Unlike aluminium systems, Homerit’s uPVC windows have fully supported bottom frames. Timber jambliners sit directly beneath the PVC U frame, providing complete structural support. Because of this, sill support bars aren’t required, saving both labour and material costs while keeping the installation simple and efficient.
