Recessed Installation

By recessing the window, the insulation layer of the window lines up perfectly with the insulation layer of the building. This means the window is no longer sitting inside the ventilated cavity, eliminating the thermal bridge that normally forms around a conventionally installed window. The result is a significant boost in thermal performance — often more than a 10% improvement in overall window insulation.
