Homerit bi-folding doors are characterized by their smooth operation, which is achieved by optimized bogie technology and guide rollers made in Germany that can support sash weights of up to 80kg.
PVC-U door sash profiles are about 100mm wide. Recommended bi-folding door panel width is 750mm to 900mm. If the door panel is less than 700mm wide, the visible glass will be less than 500mm wide. This may look out of proportion.
Recommended bi-folding door height is 2000mm to 2400mm.
PVC-U bi-folding door sill frames and tracks are recommended to be rebated down for enhanced safety. The deck outside shall be slightly lower than the door panels.
Three or five bi-folding door panels can all open to one side. Two sets of three or five panel bi-folding doors can close to each other at a corner to create a massive open corner when the doors are open. As there is no post at the corner, building structure on top of the doors must be strong enough to hold the roof up.
